This is a project I did for photography class.
Inspired by the James Webb space telescope.
It was donated to the school district.

When thinking about out of paper, or mixed media, the first thing would comes into my mind if the combination of engineering and art. So that is what I did, thinking of what a photo would look like in a modern telescope, which their mirror is separated because of the limitation on manufacturing technology , and they would combine photos from different part together to give us amazing shots of the universe. This photo frame have a sandwich structure, the lowest is the wooden supporting piece, the photo itself is on top of it, and on the top is a slim layer of clear plastic to hold the photo in place without glue and protect the image from damaging. The photo is the lighthouse of Palos Verdes, that is also a combined photo from 10 shots to have a wider feild of view.
The project is based on laser cut frame to create this unique photo frame.
